Silk Road discussion / Re: WHO CHANGE OUR AVATARS TO WORLDS?
« on: January 20, 2013, 10:53 pm »
This is a glitch only admin can fix.
I didnt have it til i tried to change my avatar now I have a image directory glitch.
It needs to be reset.
I assume the glitch is when the security patch was updated the avatar upload directory went to the default attachments directory which i believe is limited or full.
It needs to be changed to a specific directory for uploaded avatars.

Apparently if you lose your avatar a quick fix is to resize the image so that the longest side is only 64 pixels....thanx to jpinkman how ever he figured that out....all hail the mighty avatar.

Off topic / Re: size of silkroad forum avatar?
« on: January 20, 2013, 09:37 pm »
An admin needs to fix the image directory pathway.
It was altered during the security patch late last week.
I didnt personal see any issues til I tried to change my avatar today for some ungodly reason, maybe it was so the issue would actually get addressed.

Silk Road discussion / Re: BEWARE of ENBOOM
« on: January 20, 2013, 09:09 pm »
I really love that this turned into the ENBOOM's kick ass and the OP is a tool thread LOL

I always get a kick out of it when I see an OG vendor like this get called out and it turn out the buyers just an ass.
Yes OG Vendor indeed I remember ENBOOM being of the 1st generation of Silk Road users like myself and a few other committed loyalist that helped to create the roots for Silk Road to take root before the media ever was aware of the site. It's kinda hard to mess up something you've been so committed in seeing succeed and reminds me of the respect the OG's have towards each other for being true to the ideals and not being ass clowns but actually the forefront the revolution that has evolved into a much different and diverse version of Silk Road.  The diehard members that have been here for 2 years truly deserve patronage and admiration for keeping the roots strong and growing right along with SR though the good and bad times.

yes but doesn't that only include listings with 1 gram mdma in their title and you miss out on the ones that say 1g mdma instead?
Yeah you are right but I figured the 3 seconds it takes to open a second tab and search with an alternative search parameter is nothing compared to the the time waiting for Marketplace staff to get done with the 300 more important issues that will take the better part of the next two years.
It's really a case of priorities vs, conveniences.

See in the past there was a exchanger that was as close to officially backed as possible without actually being hired and paid to be a staff member and that ended horribly, the biggest problem with all the little problems is you have to find an anonymous person you can trust with the large scale power that comes with these solutions. I mean for every issue not full proof fixed you have to have a loyal trustworthy individual and that is just not possible for DPR to invest all his eggs in these baskets without personally controlling the issue so the SR vendors are basically outsourced solutions that are only temporary fixes.
The biggest issue DPR personally handles is the tumbler and the account balances and as long as he can manage it then all the little inconveniences can be overlooked until proper long term solutions can be arranged. It's a never ending list of what is the highest priority issue to handle on any given day.

In general I believe if you have any doubt about a SR vendor exchanging BTC's then you are better off to obtain your legal BTC's from legitimate currency exchanges if you want a 100% guarantee. Of course then complaints about instant access come up and the entire situation tends to cycle back to the SR vendors and convenience vs. reliability.

Well now that the ban function is in the hands of a moderator that can monitor the newbie discussion it should be easy pickings on banning new accounts but it'll take a little time to get the accounts that are above 50 posts. It's not an instant solution but the tide is slowly changing and I believe there is a modification to the code that can be added where a ban deletes all posts by the username account. A keyword removal mod might exist i've not exactly located one yet but i've been trying to find enough solutions to the spam that if used in a rotating defense would be quite discouraging in the effort:reward aspect that might actually end the attacks. Recent chatter among the staff has me positive that we are moving in a better more organized defensive direction. Lately I've spent more time on the SMF site than our own forum in a effort to fully grasp all the anti-spamming tech that we actually have on our side of the attacks.
Organization and communication seems to be improving on staff's end of things and I see a more positive year ahead than the end of 2012 which had me feeling overwhelmed and unprepared but with proper research and application of the knowledge available the moral can only improve.

You guys are racing to get to a state of mind.
Just because you cant state you opinion on a topic til 50 threads doesnt mean you can't spend the time here educating yourself on how not to make mistakes from threads of people that have made mistakes.
If you knew how many newbies end up making bad decisions their first couple transactions because of eager beaver syndrome then you'd see the destination is worth the wait to make a flawless transaction with the best possible product you could acquire because of proper research of the forums and not making spur of the moment speedy decisions.
I research everything weeks before I purchase a listing to make sure everything is in order with every aspect of the transaction, as a result not only am I a 100rep vendor but have flawless buyer stats with 23months under my belt. Almost 2 years...;)

Newbie discussion / Re: PGP for SR private messages?
« on: January 20, 2013, 04:03 pm »
I agree with the above post but it also varies from vendor to vendor, some will delete the message if not encrypted.
It's best to keep all information that is incriminating  encrypted.

Newbie discussion / Re: [PGP] Can't add DPR PGP key...
« on: January 20, 2013, 03:58 pm »
I use GPA(GNU Privacy Assistant) easier than email.
Also you posted the signature not the public key just to make sure everyone knows the difference...any problems with encrypting  can be fixed with the SR forum PGP Club's aid.
So do some research and educate yourselves while in the newbie subforum don't just look at it as a pain in the ass but as budding stage for your time spent on Silk ROad using the Marketplace

Pussy is better than cocaine...no brainer.
And will usually feed you and wash your back.
Take is from a eyes wide open former cocaine addict.
I have no desire to do or even think about cocaine once I realized that it's not even fun it's just an instant mood change and not popsitive most the time beyond 20 minutes.

Maube you should just shut up.
Maybe you should stay on topic unless you want a username burn notice.
Your posts are complete trash.
Trash gets burned.

Dear BlarghRawr and reviewers please report troling to moderators instead of feeding them.

I return this thread to you in hopes you post as the topic asks.
I must give a bit of advice if you want H reviews this is the place for them.
Do not feed the trolls, report them or the privilege of posting in this thread will be revoked.
Very easy guys:
1. Only post reviews.
2. Report trolls and odd topic post to moderator via the button in each poist.

It's that simple to keep your resourceful info in one place.
